这是谈什么样的菜呢?维基百科称:
偷拍视频General Tso's chicken is a sweet, piquant, deep-fried chicken dish that is served in North American Chinese restaurants. The dish is named after Zuo Zongtang, a Qing dynasty statesman and military leader, although there is no recorded connection to him nor is the dish known in Hunan, Zuo's home province.
左宗棠鸡是一谈甜辣口味的炸鸡菜肴,在北好意思中餐馆里较为多见。该菜以清朝政事家、将军左宗棠定名,天然莫得史料阐发注解这谈菜与他或者他的梓里湖南相干。
据澎湃新闻报谈,左宗棠鸡,也称左公鸡。1952年由中国台湾的湘菜名厨彭长贵创制,其时并莫得矜重菜名。

据说,这谈菜之是以托名左宗棠,源自上世纪70年代。某日蒋经国办公到深宵后,带陪同到彭长贵开设的彭园餐厅用餐,但餐厅当日的高等食材齐已用尽,准备打烊,只剩鸡腿稍称堪用。

蒋经国回味后,认为相等厚味,谋划菜名,彭长贵回船转舵,说是清末湘军名将左宗棠昔日爱吃的一谈炒鸡块,因而得名。
1973年,彭长贵赴好意思国开办彭园餐厅。好意思国前国务卿基辛格在彭园请客,吃过“左宗棠鸡”后拍桌惊奇。此事经《华盛顿邮报》、《纽约时报》等媒体大幅报谈,这谈菜因而名气大震,冉冉成为好意思国东谈主眼里中餐“第一菜”。
